Cork Plug for ETICS (External Thermal Insulation Composite Systems) – Ø 60 mm | Thickness 20 mm

Technical element made from natural cork, designed to seal the holes corresponding to fixing anchors in external thermal insulation systems.
With a diameter of 60 mm and thickness of 20 mm, the plug restores the continuity of the insulating panel and significantly reduces the risk of localized thermal bridges.

Installation Instructions – Cork Plug Ø 60 mm

1. Drilling the insulation panel:
   Before inserting the fixing anchor, drill the cork panel to create the plug housing.
   The hole should be 60 mm in diameter and approximately 20 mm deep, aligned with the intended anchor position.

2. Anchor insertion:
   Insert the fixing anchor into the pre-drilled housing, ensuring the head remains recessed below the panel surface to allow space for the plug.

3. Cleaning the housing:
   Remove any dust or loose material from the hole to ensure proper adhesion.

4. Applying adhesive:
   Apply a small amount of ETICS-compatible adhesive either to the side of the plug or directly into the hole.

5. Inserting the plug:
   Insert the cork plug into the housing, pressing it gently until it sits flush with the surface of the insulation panel.

6. Finishing:
   Once the adhesive has cured, proceed with the reinforced skim coat and finishing layers, following the specifications of the insulation system used.
